A Fun Weekend

We had a crazy busy weekend. I spent the weekend in Spartanburg, visiting my best friend from college. Saturday was her husband's 30th birthday party, and Sunday was her baby shower!

Stephen and I drove up on Saturday afternoon with Little Miss S. He took her to the park while I hung out with Stephanie and Laura. He brought her back around 4:30 and we got her dressed for the party! Fun party theme: The Hunter and the Hunted! Little Miss S had an ADORABLE pink camo outfit:

Adorable outfit, but at least 2 inches too long. I had a Martha Stewart moment (with Laura's help) and figured out a way to hem them for the party. I'm taking them back tomorrow for a replacement pair, but so glad they worked for the party!

Little Miss S had a great time at the party, but was about ready to drop by 8 and asked for "home." No fight getting her changed and in the car! Stephen came home with her Saturday night and left me with my first Little Miss-free night since she was born!

Above: It tried to rain on our parade, but Sydney was not at all concerned that she was getting wet though she did tell anyone who would listen that it was "raining outside".

The solution for the rain? Use the tailgate tent as a massive group umbrella!

I had so much fun hanging out with Stephanie, Josh, Laura, and finally Lauren Saturday night! It was a great party (complete with a marshmallow gun fight). Below is the birthday boy getting pelted by marshmallows:

Sunday morning was the Disney Princess baby shower to celebrate Miss Elizabeth (I made the sign)! It was a great chance to get all the DGs together one more time before KK moves to Florida!

Stephen and Little Miss S had a great time on Sunday without me. Mammy and Pop came for a visit. Everyone went out for breakfast (grits and bacon - Little Miss's favorite) and then to Publix (where she got a chocolate chip cookie). Mammy and Pop left at nap time, but once Little Miss woke up, Stephen took her to the park and THEN for a "choc shake" at Rush's. She had a great day!
