He arrived July 25th at 2:55 a.m. weighing 7 lbs 14 oz and measuring 20 inches long! It was a crazy night - I felt completely fine when I went to bed around 10. I woke up at 1:45 a.m. wondering if that was my water breaking. I wasn't really feeling contractions, but woke Stephen up because Dr. Gee said to get to the hospital ASAP when my water broke. I was 4 cm on Monday, so she thought it would be quick!
She definitely didn't think it would be this quick! By the time we got Sydney in the car with everything about 15 minutes later, I was feeling contractions every 2-3 minutes although they were fairly mild! Stephen was definitely pushing it to get the hospital because we got stopped by the highway patrol for speeding! The officer actually took the time to write us a formal warning! We arrive at the hospital around 2:30 and the contractions were coming stronger. We got upstairs and it was basically time to push! So the whole thing took about an hour! It was a crazy start to welcoming our little buddy!
